What a day Friday was

it was a sad goodbye to Yong Woon. He had been with us for 3 months, and in that time he went from an Elementary student to a Pre-Intermediate student.
Well done Yong Woon. :)

It was Luiz's last day also.He had been here a month and told me 'it was the best experience of my life!' We will miss him, he is always very happy and keen to try everything.

After the presentations it was time for the barbecue at the beach. Papamoa beach. This is Alex, Jeuen, Luiz and Prince . This Luiz is staying!

And then to the beach. Jon took some surfboards, boogie boards and a kayak.

gorgeous day, great people, lovely weather...what more do you want?

We had a lovely visit from Byung Sook Gong this week. She had been a student here earlier in the year. She was a dedicated student and her English improved a lot. Just shows you are never too old to learn something new.  It was lovely catching up with her and her family, we miss her.

One student's experience at the trip to the Katikati Bird Garden

Yesterday I visited the bird Garden in Katikati with Yam,Patty and the teacher Juan. At the bird garden we're looking and feeding to the birds like chickens, ducks and pigeons. My favorite bird was a grey duck with Green beak, also we can see the peacock, parrots and a strange bird similar to a phoenix. The most funny parts in the trip was when we feed the birds because a lot of birds arrived with us. Isaias Barraza  (Chile)

TESOL January 2020

Our latest TESOL course was a great success. All three ladies passed with 'Strong Passes'. All three came with very different experiences and strengths. Sandra is from Catalonia, it was great to have the input from a non-native speaker. Heather is going to use her new ESOL skills in the classroom and Katie will be off travelling the world very soon.
